"Sasza" Chlewicki has a background in Judo (Kano-Jiu Jitsu) ranking as black belt in the style, and is a qualified instructor. He has fought for Poland at the highest level in Judo, including performances at the World Championship and European Championship events.  


He has medalled in many tournaments achieving a 3rd place finish at the Polish Judo-national tournament of 1998 at 66kg, and a 1st place at the Polish Judo-nationals of 1996 in the 60kg division. A well rounded grappler, he has also fought under submission rules, with a 1st place finish at the 2003 Polish No-gi Nationals in his division, and placed 2nd in the open weight category. 

 
Chlewicki holds a notable victory over former Judo World and European Bronze medalist Krzystof Wilkomirski in finals of the 96' junior nationals tournament, when both of them were bantamweights. Both men went on different paths in Combat-Sports, however Wilkomirski would go on to achieve 11 Polish national titles, 4 World Cup titles, competed at the Athens and Beijing Olympics, fought in countless elite level tournaments, and retired in 2015 with a ''JudoInside.com" fight record of 145  - 92.
